Kickboxing

The kickboxing program at Paragon is a mix of Western style boxing and traditional Muay Thai kickboxing. We believe this is the ideal mix for mixed martial arts practitioners and for those looking for a great workout! Thai Kickboxing is well known for it's devastating leg kicks and powerful clinch used for knee strikes. The Thai's are big on conditioning and believe mental toughness and endurance are the keys to success in the fight game. One thing is certain; practitioners of Muay Thai will get in phenomenal shape. The mix of Western style boxing with Muay Thai gives students at Paragon a huge advantage in the striking game.

Boxing in the United States focuses on great footwork and balance to deliver superb punching power while maintaining ideal defensive posture. The “sweet science” of boxing is being able to attack your opponent or training partner while defending counter attacks.  Boxing has become extremely popular as a form of exercise as it demands both great strength and cardiovascular intensity!

At Paragon, we believe standing in front of a mirror and lifting weights or mindless cardio workouts are a thing of the past. Our goal is to provide a fun way of getting in great shape while also learning a powerful self-defense. For Women, Kickboxing and Boxing programs are extremely popular however most gyms offer only a cardio kickboxing program. At Paragon, you will not simply be placed in front of a bag and instructed by a local aerobics teacher. At our gym, you will be taught by Professional Kickboxing and Boxing instructors, who will give you all the tools needed to learn these great sports. On average you will burn between 700-800 calories per hour session!
